The Swiss Gear Scan Maid Laptop Backpack Review
Swiss Gear makes a number of quality computer backpacks and their new Scanmaid Laptop Backpack is no exception. This backpack style from Swiss Gear can hold up to 15 x 40 LCD’s in it’s array of colors and comes with a handy carrying handle and padded laptop compartment. It also comes equipped with a breathable mesh carrying handle and D-ring for your printer. The interior of this backpack is completely customizable with soft lining and a variety of pockets and includes a zippered panel for your removable carry-on files or your small assortment of favorite MP3 players.
The main drawback to the Scan Maid Laptop Backpack, or any Swiss Gear laptop backpack for that matter, is that it doesn’t offer you much in the way of style. Most backpacks are designed to be fashionable, and the Scan Maid is no exception. However, the fact that it’s so ugly (by today’s standards) is more than made up for by the superior quality it offers you. Many people who’ve owned one of these Swiss Gear laptops know that they will stick out like a sore thumb wherever they go. Whether you need a laptop bag to transport your laptop (which is the only application for this type of backpack), or to use as a rolling backpack, the Scan Maid will probably look just fine.
All in all, the Swiss Gear ScanLabs Laptop Backpack is a fine laptop backpack. It’s affordable (around $100 US, which are generally inexpensive), and you’ll certainly appreciate having a safe place to store your laptop when you’re out and about. And because it is so stylish, you can use it for hours on end, without worrying about your laptop rolling around in it’s case. All in all, for the occasional user, the Swiss Gear ScanLabs Laptop Backpack might not be the best option, but it does deliver a high quality laptop backpack – and at a price anyone can afford!
